I loved staying in a beautifully renovated room with traditional Scottish vibes, and being so close to Glenfinart Walled Garden and Castle Toward made my daily walks refreshing and scenic while enjoying the lovely views of the ferries coming and going nearby.

The maintenance levels could really benefit from a thorough deep clean!!! Cobwebs in the windows and general disrepair signal neglect, while mismatched dining ware shows a lack of attention to detail!!!

We stepped into this beautiful old establishment and felt immediate warmth from the staff, especially Richard who was eager to share stories about the hotel's rich history. The cozy dinner in the bar was a highlight where we enjoyed an unforgettable fish and chips, all served with genuine smiles that made us feel right at home.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but still manageable for the experience we received.

royal marine hotel dunoon is conveniently located right across from the ferry terminal. my room was modern, with fresh carpets and a very clean environment. the shower was fantastic and the bed was super comfortable. the staff provided a warm welcome which made my stay even better.

i recently stayed for a night at this hotel, and it was a pleasant surprise compared to my last visit, where the room was terrible. the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, and the sea view from my room was beautiful, really enhancing my stay. breakfast was a highlight, with warm croissants and fresh coffee.

The Royal Marine Hotel has potential with its gorgeous location across from the ferry terminal and the views of the lake. The room was huge, offering a sizable bathroom, which was a nice touch. the lack of lifts made it quite a trek to the top floor with luggage, especially for my elderly relatives. The highlight was the friendly staff. They tried hard to assist whenever we asked, though it sometimes felt like they were stretched thin. Unfortunately, the room needed significant repairs. the wallpaper was peeling, and there were cracks in the walls, not what I expected after a supposed refurbishment. We experienced issues with cleanliness—there were no towels initially, and we had to ask multiple times. While breakfast was enjoyable, we faced a long wait. it seems like they have the right intentions, but the hotel desperately requires proper maintenance to match its beautiful surroundings.

The family room with a sea view offered an ample space with various sleeping arrangements. The staff provided exceptional service, always ready to assist and accommodate our needs.

There was minor noise during peak times from nearby activities.

The room was basic but tidy, while the reception lacked staff presence.

Had a lovely time! The location is perfect, right by the ferry with stunning lake views. The family room was massive and super comfy, felt like a mini apartment. The staff were friendly and the meals were hearty – loved those big portions! Just wished the bathroom had a bit more TLC. a solid stay.

We loved our stay! The staff were super friendly, and we got to enjoy our breakfast with a gorgeous sea view. The room was nice, but a hairdryer would’ve been handy. Dinner was alright, though the burger was a bit overcooked. Still, we’d come back ‘cause the atmosphere was fab and the view was unbeatable!
